UW Direct Admit Program

The D.C. Everest Senior High is participating in a new state program called Direct Admit Wisconsin. Direct Admit Wisconsin is designed to provide a means for all Wisconsin high school students to access a world-class public education by proactively offering them admission to the Universities of Wisconsin.

How does it work?

The process is very simple — and it does not require students to submit application essays, ACT scores or application fees. Each year, the transcripts (grade point average, math coursework, progression towards graduation) of DCE 11th graders will be reviewed by participating Universities of Wisconsin. In July, universities will then send out offers of direct admission and the information necessary to enroll to students and their parents/guardians via Infinite Campus.

To facilitate the administration of this program, the following information will be shared by the school with the Universities of Wisconsin: Name, WISEid, Local Student District ID, contact information, legal sex, race/ethnicity, GPA and high school transcripts.

There are 10 UWs participating in Direct Admit Wisconsin for Fall 2025: UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee, UW Oshkosh, UW-Parkside, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout, UW-Superior and UW-Whitewater.

Please note, participating in this program does not commit a student to attend the Universities of Wisconsin, and students and families who do not wish to participate in Direct Admit Wisconsin can contact the Student Services office for an opt-out form.

What do current juniors need to do?

The next steps for current juniors is:

  • Enroll in your senior year courses and stay on track for graduation
  • Check your Infinite Campus email in July for offers of admission
  • Explore the universities who have offered you direct admission so you can make an informed decision that suits your course of study and lifestyle
  • Research financial aid options and complete the FAFSA form when it becomes available
  • Make a final decision and accept your offer of admission
