Person walking down snowy street. A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol: The Musical

A Christmas Carol: The Musical is a vibrant adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novella. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. These encounters transform Scrooge by forcing him to confront his greed and cold-heartedness. With a memorable score, lively choreography, and rich costumes, the musical captures Scrooge's journey as he discovers the true spirit of Christmas.

The Music of Elvis Presley

All Shook Up-School Edition is a jukebox musical inspired by Elvis Presley's songs. Set in 1955, it tells the story of a conservative town transformed by the arrival of a mysterious, guitar-playing stranger named Chad. His rebellious spirit and love for rock 'n' roll transform the town's values and ignite romance. Featuring hit Elvis songs like "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock," and "Can't Help Falling in Love," the musical blends a fun, high-energy narrative with timeless rock 'n' roll hits to create an entertaining experience.

Jerry Award Winners

Middle School Showcase

This year, the DC Everest Performing Arts Jr. Level program was part of the Middle School Initiative sponsored by the Overture Center in Madison. Benefits included with this program were the opportunity to have a free acting workshop, to have a reviewer from the Overture center come see your show and give you feedback, and participating in the Middle School Showcase.

On May 7, 2024, the cast of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the Musical were recognized at the Middle School Showcase at the Overture Center in Madison. The students got to perform a selection from Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical for other middle school arts programs in attendance. The purpose of their performance was to highlight the benefits of doing a performance geared towards younger performers, while incorporating high school students to be mentors and role models throughout the process.

This is a model that the DC Everest Performing Arts has used for their past three jr. level shows, and it is proving to be quite valuable. The younger students get to learn from watching the older students (who are cast in the adult roles or ensemble) and the older students benefit from valuable leadership opportunities.

It’s a win-win for all!
